Pocket Screw
Jig
Pocket Screw
Jigs have been around for a long time. But until
recently they haven’t been pre-packaged in a kit that
comes with everything you need to do the job right and
much faster.
How do Pocket Screw Jigs work?
Pocket Hole Jigs are
simple in theory but offer a lot of stability to your
project. It is simply a clamp system that holds your
drill at an angle while drilling a hole into a piece of
wood. Later that wood will be attached to another piece
and that angled hole will host a screw at just the right
angle and depth. Without such a screw jig you would have
to be much more careful when drilling so you don’t drill
all the way through either or both pieces of wood. You’d
also have to be careful not to drill at the wrong angle
and buckle the wood through the front. The front is the
surface that will be visible and needs to be
pristine.
The Pocket
Screw Jig itself and should be made of aluminum. At
least a 3/8 inch step drill which is a drill with two
different sizes on it to accommodate the body of the
screw and the head without blemishing the wood. An
assortment of screw like 1 inch, 1 ½ inch, 2 ½ inch, a
hex key fdor adjustments, a stop collar to stop the drill
from penetrating further into the wood, a screwdriver,
and some pocket hole plugs to seal the holes after you
have placed the screws.

Anyone doing any
kind of wood work is gonna need a Pocket Screw
Jig. Without it, you will make far too many mistakes
and waste material in the process. Even if you do one
project, invest in a Pocket Hole Jig and save

jig, you will want to do other wood working projects
because it is a pleasure working while maintaining
precision and speed.
